SSC CGL Expected Minimum Qualifying Marks

In these uncertain times, the one thing that can almost certainly guarantee a successful and secure career is a government job. Some of the few benefits of a government job include job security, a good salary, additional perks, stability, promotions, holidays, additional studies, and so on.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is a major body of the Government of India’s Department of Personnel and Training. SSC holds recruitment exams for a variety of positions in various departments and ministries. The Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination is one of the most common annual examinations for graduate-level positions. The appointments to the positions can be made anywhere in the country, based on the candidates’ preferences.

Knowing the most recent changes in the exam procedure and pattern will aid your SSC CGL 2023 preparation strategy. The SSC CGL tier-1 exam is objective in nature, whereas the SSC CGL tier-2 exam will be divided into three phases: Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3.

Paper 1 is required for all positions, Paper 2 is for candidates applying for Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) positions in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, and Paper 3 is for candidates applying for Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer positions.

To be selected for various SSC CGL positions, candidates must pass all tiers. The following are the minimum qualifying marks in Tier 1 for each Paper of the Tier 2 exam: 30% for UR, 25% for OBC/EWS, and 20% for others. In the official notification, the Commission also publishes the detailed SSC CGL syllabus for each tier.

Every year, SSC CGL is held. A tentative examination schedule is available on ssc.nic.in under candidate’s corner. Every year, the number of test takers grows. The total number of applications received for SSC CGL 2023 this time is 24,74,030.
